We Have A Winner!

It's A Giveway!

Happy New Year! I hope your new year is off to a great start. Mine started slow but I'm picking up speed as it goes along. It's so hard for me to slip out of holiday mode... I think I might still have a sugar high from all those darn cookies and Fruit Cake. I still have the tree up, mind you. GP has decided we shall keep it up until MARCH! Hello! Oh yeah, and the lights are still on...all the time! I asked him if we can at least turn off the lights and he said he liked it with the lights on so ON they shall remain, until March...or until we move, whichever comes first. LOL. His reason for keeping the tree up was simple, "I like it!" and since I like it too, I don't see a problem. Well, unless you're trying to get creative. I think my brain has been on a crafting hiatus for too long and finding my mojo has been a challenge.

I know I am not alone in my quest to find my mojo and when Traci from Bigfork Bay Cotton Co called to ask if I wanted to join her Girls's in the Garden Giveaway I was delighted. She sent me the entire collection to give away. Thanks Traci!

These are designed by Pat Sloan and they are fast, fun and easy weekend projects. You can make up any of these in a weekend, even if you're a beginner. Really.

It's a Winter Wonderland in NH!

Yes, we've been hit hard with TONS of snow in my little state but I'm thinking, "it's all good". We're home, we have food, we have electricity, we have cable TV! Woo-HOO! It's a Celebration!

My Facebook page has reached a milestone.
I have over 4000 followers and I think that's a great reason to celebrate, don't you? So in the sprit of Christmas, I am parting with one of my favorite little quilts and shipping it off to the lucky winner. This is not a kit, this is an actual finished Holiday Tree quilt, made by me!

This wonderful little quilt was made with love and much attention to detail. It is flannel on cotton, embellished with handmade polymer clay buttons and comes with it's own little vintage hanger (although I did put a sleeve on it too, I'm good like that, LOL!).

We Have A Winner!

GP says, "Oh, we don't have time for this!" as I intersect him on his way to bed in his Jammies; bowl in hand and camera in tow. I had to laugh. I said, "Only a quick winner, you can do it!" so he rolls his eyes and follows me back to the kitchen to pull the winner and pose for the handshot, LOL~!
Marie, who spent her weekend playing with wool and working on her Wool Crazy Background is the Winner of my "ME Time Giveaway!" And her prize you ask? Well, I painted this Treenware Scoop a little while back. It is an adaptation of a John Sliney (another one of my Favorite Folk artists!) pattern. The Sheep stands on hills of Pumpkins and her saddle reads "Pumpkins for Sale". I hope she loves it....

Do You See What I See?

There are well over 500 entries in the Happy Halloween Giveaway! Oh, my. How exciting! I've been writing them up as they come in. Here's the basket so far. They're all squished in there, 500+ little pieces of paper, all handwritten by me. =)
I will transfer them to a large basket and give the a whirl to make sure everyone get a fair shot but ultimately GP will chose the winners and Trash is looking to be far ahead of the rest offering him candy from the UK if he picks her name, LOL! I hope he can be counted on the do the honorable thing , but I will check his pockets for "extra" entries, lest he fall prey to temptation (hey, it happened to Adam! LOL!). I won one of these wonderful handpainted gourds! Yes, I did! HAHAHA! Lynda over at Haunted Swamp Designs was having a giveaway which "I knew I would never win", so I commented on her giveaway asking her to please add some to her Etsy shoppe (Don't you just love handmade stuff?). Well, Lynda counted my plea as an entry and I won! Can you believe that? If I was trying to enter to win, I wouldn't have won...that's just the way it is, LOL!

I forgot all about GP's BD trip when I planned my Freaky Friday Giveaways, so I skipped a Friday but I think this one will make up for it.

I am drawing it on Sunday but entries will close at midnight EST on Saturday, October 31st. That is Halloween!

The loot? A Fat Quarter Bundle of Red Rooster's Pumpkins & Spice Fabrics by Whimsicals. Hello! Yes, that's 27 fat quarters. Every fabric in the line with the exception of the panel. Sorry folks, the panels were sold out on arrival... even I didn't get one of those! LOL! Here's the stash; are you drooling yet? The picture doesn't do them justice, this is a primitive lover's dream. They are earthy, muted and whimsical...You will LOVE these! Sunflowers, pumpkins, checks, stripes; this collection has it all.
