Buttons and Blooms Weekend Sale!

I saw these fabrics at Spring Market and almost keeled over. I am such a Whimsicals Fan I border on groupie. How bad is that? I know, it's bad, LOL! Anyway. I had to order them and have been harassing the folks at Red Rooster since July (they were supposed to ship way back then, but they kept being delayed for one reason or another), and they finally came in yesterday! OMG! They are soooo cute. I love them all, and think everyone needs a yard, or two of these so I am having a weekend sale to share my love of Buttons and Blooms. I even put the book on sale for those who need a little inspiration and find themselves in love with the fabrics but pondering the age old question, "What would I use it for????"
I love the wallhanging in this book. I saw it at market and yep, it was amazing... Here's another great quilt I saw made up using the panels and fabrics from the collection. I asked around an no one knew who designed this one or even of there was a pattern. It was at one of the distributors, someone at their company had made it... I love it!
I also love the little owl in the book. It's like a pincushion on steroids!
But if I had to choose only one thing to make from this book, being theWeekend Warrior that I am, I would make the runner. Be still my heart, I am in love with the simple applique and the easy piecing. It screams, "You can make me!" and who who doesn't love having something to show for their weekend of crafting??? I know I NEED to feel like I am getting something done. No matter how small, if it's done, I feel accomplished. It's the little things that make me happy.
Sale ends at midnight on Sunday. Don't miss it. These fabrics are gorgeous, I know you'll love them! You can see the complete collection here:

Down Winterberry Lane Kits , Done!

I can't believe I finally finished cutting these. OMG! What a task. For some reason I had not thought of how long it would take to cut all those fabrics and where all that time would have to be found; but somehow, someway, I completed this task. WOW! You have to trust me when I say there is no way I would ever, EVER, cut these kits again... just in case you were wondering. LOL! This was one of those, "what was I thinking?" jobs, and I am so happy that it's done.
For those patiently waiting for these kits, they are now posted. You can order yours here: Down Winterberry Lane Kits . Update: These kits have sold out!

The Eleventh Hour

I should have been packing, wrapping things up and getting ready for our trip to TX, but what was I doing? Cutting these kits. I am so bad. I had to finish cutting them, I had to. I wanted to take one with me to make while I was away. LOL! See? I told you I had a good reason for not packing! Now I am off to take the Pepperdog to the Spa (well nobody likes traveling with a smelly dog!) and afterwards, I will get back to work. I'll fill orders and get them to the PO, run errands and THEN start packing.
So much to do, so little time... but I'm happy to have this cutie to come along with me. He's been on my list all year, and I finally cut the kits...at the eleventh hour. Talk about cutting it close, eh? LOL!
You need a great take along project too? I have one of these left and you still have time to get it in today's mail bag. Hurry! =)
You can buy the Joy kits here!

MODA Looking Back by Brannock & Patek

OMG! I just checked my Moda account and the entire Looking Back collection by Brannock & Patek (as in Girls Gang!) is scheduled to arrive at the Pumpkin Patch TOMORROW!!!! I think I'm hyperventilating! LOL!

The last time I was this excited I was waiting for my Longaberger Hope Chest! This collection has FORTY-SEVEN sku's. That's forty seven bolts of positively primitive perfection. I think I might pass out when the UPS guy rings. HAHAHA!

If you don't hear from me tomorrow, just call the paramedics, OK? I have to go take some St. John's Wort now...

Wool Bundles, Now in Progress!

I'm cutting up wool bundles today! Don't you just love the yummy feel of hand dyed wool? OMG! It's so soft and yummy. I started nice and early and haven't even made a dent in the pile. Hello?! OK, so I am setting my goal to making five bundles today, that's it... (Hey, a girl needs some time to rest, to do non work related things; even if it is to actually make something with the wool you're "not working" with, LOL!!!) So far, I've managed to cut one, a Spring Mix Bundle. Aren't they cute?
More pictures later, now I have to get back to cutting. Woo-HOO!

1864 Block of The Month is HERE!

The much anticipated release of the new Quilted Crow (Australian) Block of the month, 1864, had me jumping for joy. This is yet another stunning wool on cotton creation. I love the soft vintage color palette, the classic applique design... and don't forget the fact that it very little piecing. Now that alone should make it one of my all time favorites, eh?
I just love this pattern, and after much anticipation and a really long wait (she did tease us with it's "upcoming release" in the Fall), it was finally, finally, release a few weeks ago. I ordered it as soon as it was available and It arrived at the Pumpkin Patch just yesterday, Hooray!
You can order your copy HERE!
I'm off to finish punching my snowman mitten today so stay posted for the conclusion of my journey into rug punching! woo-HOO!

Coming Soon! Settler's Pride

Settler's Pride by Maggie Monanomi
Is this a gorgeous wool quilt or what?!
I'm in love; I need to make this quilt. I saw it and thought of three places where it could hang in my home. That ever happen to you? Well, it sometimes happens to me with quilts I can't make, but this one is easy enough for beginners so I can actually make this in one and not just wish I could. I just ordered the patterns for it, they should be in next week. Woo-HOO!
Just wanted to share my joy; it's the little things that make me happy...
this one will surely cure the Winter BLAHS! =)

A New Addition

This little cubby was waiting for me when I arrived; today I hung it in the Pumpkin Patch. I've topped it with two of my favorite Longaberger pumpkin baskets and a Williraye Gathering the Bounty figurine (now retired). Not sure if I will keep it this way but for now it works and I'll leave the tweaking for another time. At this point I am celebrating that it's new, it's up and I have more storage. Can't beat that! I love cubbies...finding one I love is like finding a needle in a haystack! This one I knew would be perfect in the studio, it's so cute! It's the little things that make me happy!
