Cupcake Art Quilt, Almost Done!

I'm finishing up the little cupcake quilt I committed to for my last Swap Bot swap. Now this has been a long journey since I received my own little Art Quilt and suffered "stage fright". After much deliberation I concluded that I had lost my way and that it really wasn't about how fancy I could make the quilt but about how much care I take in doing the best job I can. Sooooo, I asked Joanna for a pattern she had drawn out for some gorgeous cupcake blocks she has framed and displayed in her kitchen and went about finding some yummy flannels and wonderful threads and I am happy to report that I am almost done. I'm so excited! No, I cannot share my quilt yet, but see how I've been hand quilting it? AND, I even made a pieced border that took me hours, hahaha....I'm such a crappy "piecer", it's a wonder I just don't give up the piecing thing all together, but I refuse to be uphanded by the little squares that if not kept in check, would drive me to drink! LOL!!! More Pics to follow soon. Stay tuned for the great reveal, LOL!

Thank you for leaving the comment on my Wordless Wednesday post today! I so enjoyed catching up on all you have been up to! I don't know how you get so much done with having the shop, too! But I love it!! My friend and I are going to be in a little "flea market" held at a quilt shop. The owner hosts a week of classes each year where she has various designers teach classes. Students come from all over to attend. On the last day, she has a teeny sale where a she invites a few vendors to set up on the sidewalk in front of her store and display vintage and handmade items for her students to buy. Last year, the owner of Needl'Love was there and this year Maggie Bonnanomi (sp) will be with us. I posted about it last June/July. I'll try to again this year. Anyway--thought you might be interested.

Hope you're having a great day!

Looks good from what I can see, can't wait to see the rest. Love you new graphics, fits your name perfectly.
Check out my blog and tell me what you think of the mounting I did. I messed up the board, but someone said they wanted wood, so doing some on wood;)
