It's A Giveway!

Happy New Year! I hope your new year is off to a great start. Mine started slow but I'm picking up speed as it goes along. It's so hard for me to slip out of holiday mode... I think I might still have a sugar high from all those darn cookies and Fruit Cake. I still have the tree up, mind you. GP has decided we shall keep it up until MARCH! Hello! Oh yeah, and the lights are still on...all the time! I asked him if we can at least turn off the lights and he said he liked it with the lights on so ON they shall remain, until March...or until we move, whichever comes first. LOL. His reason for keeping the tree up was simple, "I like it!" and since I like it too, I don't see a problem. Well, unless you're trying to get creative. I think my brain has been on a crafting hiatus for too long and finding my mojo has been a challenge.
I know I am not alone in my quest to find my mojo and when Traci from Bigfork Bay Cotton Co called to ask if I wanted to join her Girls's in the Garden Giveaway I was delighted. She sent me the entire collection to give away. Thanks Traci!
There are four pattern, one for each season and the winner takes all. Can't beat that.
These are designed by Pat Sloan and they are fast, fun and easy weekend projects. You can make up any of these in a weekend, even if you're a beginner. Really.
Again, winner takes all four.
To enter the giveaway leave a comment and tell me if you have a garden, and if you do, what you plant in it. Dreaming of warm days spent in the garden always make my heart happy, maybe it will make your heart happy too! Winner will be selected randomly from among those who post a comment. Please do not leave your comment on FB only entries here on Blogger will be counted. Thanks for joining in the fun!
Retail Value for the set is $50, and they ship free to the lucky winner. If you're having a hard time be sure to close the Networked Blog tab at the top right of the page (when arriving from Facebook). That should do the trick.
This giveaway is closed! No more comments are being accepted.

I have a rose garden that my wonderful husband keeps going for me. I have allergies so that keeps me on the side lines. :( But I love it when the roses bloom and my husband brings me a bouquet of roses fresh from the flower bed.

No, I don't have a garden. That's why I need all of these patterns.

Thank You for your generous offering of four patterns-OMG!

My winter garden just has a Japanese Maple with 2 bird feeders that gather Cardinals and Finches early in the morning. What a beautiful sight!

My summer garden looks like Ava's Summer Garden. It has several varieties of Coneflower, one just as beautiful as the next one! Their fragrance is oh so delightful! There are also roses, bellflowers, coral bells, lillies, hydragena, and pig squeak-funny name but, ph those tiny pink flowers that are so bright!

I can only plant deer resistant plants. Hellebores, herbs, coneflowers, etc. If I stray from the deer resistant plants I have lots of visitors in my garden treating it like a local salad bar.

Love Pat Sloan and her patterns. I am so into garden-y things. I love looking out my kitchen window and watching the cardinals at play in my backyard.

Sadly I live in a townhouse in an apartment complex and there is no garden. I have a calla lily in my kitchen which blooms once a year...a beautiful white blossom!

Wow, I think Pat Sloan is shutting down blogspot. Love her designs, hope I win. I live in the boon docks in WV and yes we have a garden. We grow flowers, berries, we have fruit trees. Asparagus, tomatoes, potatoes, sunflowers, bell peppers, a variety of hot peppers, squash and beans. We raise goats, kids, and a grandson.

I unfortunately have been transported to FL and am still trying to find out what grows here in this sandy soil. I would love to have a vegetable garden but travel too much to keep it up. We are blessed to have a mandarin tree and this year we had a tremendous crop and were able to share them with lots of people. That is my favorite item in my backyard. I am finding little surprise flowers every so often and it is fun to see other more natural flowers come up. So for now it will be my little corner in the backyard with a few butterfly plants to entertain my need to dig in the dirt.

Thanks for the chance to enter your contest. Hope you all get some new gardening surprises this year in your backyard.

Nope, no garden as I live on a sailboat, moored in the middle of the Tahitian lagoon! But I still can grow some herbs...
My garden is onshore: the beautiful tropical flowers, coconut trees, etc. Gorgeous colors too.

I wish I had a garden. I live in the middle of the Mojave Desert in the southwest area of the USA and the only thing that grows here is sagebrush. I suppose that all the sagebrush could be considered my garden. I had a garden when I lived in So. Cali. I grew many different vegetables and flowers. It was pretty, and tasty! I always thought of the poppies and roses in So. Cali as nature's garden! :) Thanks for the great giveaway!

I have a perennial garden in the front of my house as those are low maintanence and come up every year:) My hubby has plans on putting in a vegatable garden this year as he is retired and we are trying to go "organic" as much as possible with our veggies. And since I have taken on a new hobby (other than quilting)-homemade wine-I want to plant grapevines. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan so we have to have hardy plants for such a short growing season. Would love to win these awesome projects.

I grow both flowers and vegetables. Here is WI our growing seasons is not very long, but we seem to always have lots of tomatoes for canning, and squash for freezing.

Debbie said...

We have a vegetable garden and then I plant flowers all around our farm...This summer I fixed different sized pots at a tilt on a fence post so when I planted my flowers and as they grew it looked like the plants were pouring out of the pots. Well we have a goat that was dumped at our house, at least he was very small and showed up in our back yard. Anyway that fountain of flowers was looking so pretty until the goat ate all the blooms off of one side! Little stinker! Bad goat!

My favorite in the veggie garden has to be any of the tomatoes I plant, especially the Brandywine. Can't beat the flavor.
Pat Sloan is a great designer and I'd love to have a go at the patterns.

I have a vegetable garden every year (except last year because we had so much rain I couldn't work the ground until June). I have several varieties of tomatoes, lemon cucumbers, 8-ball squash, bell peppers, more tomatoes, watermelon, and cantaloupe. I love getting my garden started - nurturing the seedlings and watching them grow. I give away a lot of the vegetables because I am more interested in the growing than the eating....weird.....

Do we have a garden? We have the good foretune of living in southern California where we are forever finding new and wonderful things to grow. We have a Mediterranean climate so if you can grow it there you can grow it here. Garden wonderland.

I love the Pat Sloan Patterns! So fun and quick to make. We live in NW Washington, so our growing season is very short. When my tulips and iris sprout with the promis of spring, I look forward to their bright colors. Some neighbors are able to get vegetables to grow, but we've not been so blessed. Te Summer is just too short and too cool.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I have several Wisconsin gardens, and mostly they seem to contain deer food! And caterpillar food. And, occasionally, a little bit of people food sneaks in too. I started with sort of the typical mix of plants (petunias, cosmos, scented geraniums) and veggies, but I've slowly been converting to more WI natives: echinacea, rudbeckia, delphinium, lupine, mayapples, blood root, Jack in the pulpit, etc. And lots more native shrubs too: viburnum, aronia, sand cherry, shrubby St. John's wort, and a hackberry tree!

I'm new to your site but I've followed your fb page for awhile. I do have a garden - I plant ALOT of carrots and potatoes because the grandkids like to dig and pull them. I also raise and show dahlias - Here in Oregon the show season kicks off Labor Day weekend and goes through Sept. It's a true labor of love because I have nearly 2000 tubers in the ground. I quilt and knit in the winter and garden and tend to my dahlias the rest of the time. After 30 years as an Air Force wife moving so often it's wonderful to put down roots in more ways than one! Thanks for your site. L

I have lots of perennials in my flower beds. They self seed and pop up in most unusual places. (My favorite is monarda. The hummingbirds love it, too!) Each year it's a different riot of color! (An outdoor crazy quilt!) The best part is they are pretty self-sufficient. When the weather heats up, I enjoy them from the window of my sewing room.

Thank you for the opportunity to win! My mother quilts, therefore I quilt as she needs someone to go to quilt shops with her (this summer we went from NY to Yellowstone via Quilt Shops!) Plus a few tires of potatoes.

Good morning - I LOVE to garden here in Maryland - I LOVE my veggies - all types & varieties - unfortunately the bunnies in the field love them tooooo - but it's OK - I usually get enough to eat but never to can!! My favorite is the flat white squash - I grow them for my dad - yum! But then I have my beautiful flower gardens - lots of perrenials there and I always include annuals & throw in some herbs! It's special to me cuz I have beautiful hyacinths return every year that were my grandma's when she lived in the house - it's my way of knowing that she is thinking about me every Spring when all the newness abounds!! By the way - with the "warm" winter we've had here - those little buds have already broken through the ground to say "Hi"!!
