We're Counting The Days...

Only Five Days to go... Woo-HOO!
We're going to TEXAS!
GP wants me to start packing... last night we were running errands and he informs me that we have to buy a new suitcase. I tell him we are only going for two weeks, we'll be fine with the ones we have. He mulls that over and then says, "But we need a big one for the Tree!". I'm thinking, "That's not good!"
Picture this... Me, GP, Pepper the Puppy Dog (yes, she likes TX too, y'know!) and our carry-on, the Big Fat Xmas Tree... see what I mean? Not good! And how, oh how does Santa KNOW he is in TX? Well, let's just say that I think GP is giving himself an ulcer. Poor kid...the stress, the stress! LOL!

Tell GP to leave a note for Santa under the tree... We did that one year when we had a water pipe break on the 23rd. Santa knew not to leave the presents there, but to load them back into the sleigh and bring them to grandma's house. Santa is pretty smart. If you are good he will find you...
AND you don't really need a tree...he can leave your presents anywhere...sometimes he leaves ours on the couch in the living room...

I remember mom told my brother (3 at the time if I am right with the picture I have attatched to the story) and I (9) when we went to Nana and Pop-Pop's in the Tri Cities one Christmas. "if He knows if you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He know's if you've been good or bad, he'll know where you are for goodness sake!" (yeah, mom was quick like that!)
oh.ps you see I was 9!! I did't find out a out santa until I was 12!!! either I am that gullible or wanted to believe that much!

My two were worried about heading off to Asutralia for Christmas and Santa not knowing where to leave presents so ... we left a big note saying we were at Granma's house with an arrow -> showing the direction to head.

We are now in Texas ourselves....what part of Texas are you going to?

Isn't it funny how kids stress about Christmas? It will all work out.
