The Tale Of The Easter Bunny

We're at the Burlington Mall yesterday and suddenly GP is all worked up. He needs to talk to the Easter Bunny, he must talk to the Easter Bunny!
So down the escalator we go to see Mr Bunny. I tell him that Mr Bunny does not bring presents to children, he brings eggs (which GP does not eat) and chocolates (which are also on the "No, thanks." list). Once there, He says he needs to talk to him. I remind him that Mr Bunny does not bring presents (he has a huge set up. like Santa, so I want to make sure GP is not thinking Mr. Bunny has been promoted to Springtime Gift Giver). We go through the velvet cords and he sits right next to him, I ask if he wants a picture. He says "Just a minute." So I'm fending off the sales people who want to snap the $26 pictures... while GP is not even looking at the camera. He is engrossed in conversation and as I walk up to them yet again to ask if he wants his picture taken I overhear him, "You can speak, c'mon, don't be shy!" And Mr. Bunny is just shaking his his head in a "I love you" kind of way. And GP turns to me as I try to explain that Mr Bunny does not speak, he just gives love... and GP tells me, "But I want to know why he does not bring presents!".
OMG! That was hilarious. He was a boy on a mission. He wanted answers and he wanted them from Mr. Bunny. No more asking Mom. He was going to the source...
and then Mr. Bunny is too shy? UGH!
The things he thinks of, I tell you. He keeps me in stitches!

Tuesday's Task

The week is off to a great start. I'm well on my way to a productive week, well, almost....My little pile might not look like much right now but I tell you, it is destined for great things, it is destined to become...
drum roll please,Yes, it's my very own "It's Spring Chicks!" mat. Hello!
This is another great design by Cathy Wagner that I have kitted for the shoppe. It can't all be work and no play around here, so I'm "testing" her pattern, ahem.... And if the "pattern" is good, mine will look like this:
I know, I know... all you skeptics out there are thinking, "Fat chance, Missy!" but I'm telling you, I can do this. I can make my own fancy schmancy mat. It usually helps if you actually follow the directions but I have to confess I'm a fusible web kind of girl so, I did fall off the wagon there. But no fear, no one will ever know that my chickies are facing the wrong way, I'll photoshop them into reverse, LOL! I'm so bad!
But let's not get ahead of ourselves here, today's task will be to cut out the black background and cut the little color patches . I want to put the patches on the eggshells before I put the eggs on the background. Does that make sense? OK, you just gotta trust me on that...or read the pattern for the "real" way to do this. hahahaha. But that's happening later, break is over, back to work!
You can order your very own kit here, I promise Cath's directions are way more accurate than mine, LOL!

The Wait is Over!

For the past ten days I have been so sad... My parents have been soooo happy....
Guess who has my Prince?
Yep... but the party is over and it's time to send him home.
HOORAY!
GP is coming home tomorrow and I can't wait!
OMG! I think I'm a codependent Mom. Is this normal?
I'm hoarding the only grandson, LOL! I'm bad... oh, well! =)
Ah, sunny beaches and warm weather are way overrated anyway! LOL!

Harvest Town by Red Rooster Fabrics

I did it, I did it! I uploaded the Harvest Town collection! This is Jackie Paton's new fabric line for Red Rooster Fabrics.
Oh, these prints are just wonderful. I think there is just no way you can get the scope of the panel prints, no matter how good the pictures are. If you love the way it looks in the picture the panel will blow you away. Yes, they really are that gorgeous!
Order your favorites before they're gone!

A Sprinkling of Flowers, Done!

Finally! I finally have a finished project to show. It's about time, isn't it? Well, there's been much happening on this end.... and none of it has been crafting. The nerve!

I set my mind to finishing this cutie this morning. I just had to put the buttons on and stitch on the wool flower, and TADA! Here you go! A Sprinkling of Flowers, done!
Woo-Hoo! I feel like I could use some confetti, ticker tape and a marching band. hahaha. Yeah, it did feel like I would never finish it because it's been staring at me waiting for those buttons and that one little flower for over a week; and now it's DONE! Hooray for me!!!! I can't help it, it's the little things that make me happy!

This pattern is by Country Lore Designs, and I just love it. I made up three little kits in the same fabrics. The applique is flannel and wool , the buttons are all hand dyed by Hillcreek designs and although a rusty watering can is included with the pattern, I thought my version would forgo that embellishment... Sometimes more is just more, you know what I mean? So there you have it, My first finish for March! Woo-Hoo...stay tuned, maybe I'm on a roll! LOL! OK, maybe not. But in any case, if you want to spend the weekend crafting and have something wonderful to show for it on Monday, just buy yourself a kit and whip this baby up next weekend. You'll love it!
Update: This kit is Sold Out!

One is just as gorgeous as the next and I can't wait to finally get to play with them... Still deciding which patterns to kit with them. OMG! The possibilities seem endless...

An Unexpected Delivery! Harvest Town By Jackie Paton

QUICK! Someone call my Mom and tell her I died a fast and painless death! I died with a smile on my face. You can also tell her I would be happy if she'd have my coffin upholstered in these pumpkin fabrics... LOL!
Oh, and please don't forget to call Gino, GP will be hungry in exactly four hours!
And all this happened before the UPS guy arrived with the Looking Back fabrics!

MODA Looking Back by Brannock & Patek

OMG! I just checked my Moda account and the entire Looking Back collection by Brannock & Patek (as in Girls Gang!) is scheduled to arrive at the Pumpkin Patch TOMORROW!!!! I think I'm hyperventilating! LOL!

The last time I was this excited I was waiting for my Longaberger Hope Chest! This collection has FORTY-SEVEN sku's. That's forty seven bolts of positively primitive perfection. I think I might pass out when the UPS guy rings. HAHAHA!

If you don't hear from me tomorrow, just call the paramedics, OK? I have to go take some St. John's Wort now...
