Winter Doesn't Last Forever

As another snowstorm threatens the peace and quiet of our Winter landscape I have to ponder the age old question, why the heck do I live in NH if snowstorms send shivers up my spine? Why, oh why, don't I just move to the hot and spicy southwest like the rest of the women in my family?
Oh, it's the crisp Fall days and the sunny Summer afternoons that go on forever. It's the fresh apples picked straight off the trees and the blueberry picking, I love blueberries! NH has a lot to offer; and if I loved the cold I would be in heaven. Instead, I will whine about the weather and dream about the clear blue water that lies beneath that white chunk of ice in my backyard and remember that the best part of Winter is that it doesn't last forever....
Cannonball!

I couldn't live anywhere else but in New England. I can enjoy the ocean, and in a few hours be in the mountains.

The same goes for living in Ohio, except that I don't have a pool! LOL

I love it here in the Finger Lakes of western New York. And I am dreaming of my pool blanketed under much snow, too. But I love it here. I love the changing of the seasons.

Funny - I thought of you a little bit ago when I saw on the weather that our snow is headed your way.

Those are things I miss about NH, along with the tapping of the maple trees that must be happening right now! I can almost taste that coveted maple syrup. Fall is my most favorite time of year, the cool crisp days and the rich colors that nature has provided during those days leading to the blanket of white stuff!

I can't speak for you but I love living in the Northeast, enjoying the change of seasons. I really dislike the cold & snow but I look at it as my crafting season... time to catch up on projects & daydream through the window panes.

HI Brenda, Just wanted to say thankyou for my order. The Jackie Paton halloween fabric is gorgeous. I can't wait to order more from you. It seems as if this winter has been around for a long time. I'm looking forward to warm spring /summer days to come back too.
